Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using an Internet account. The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "distributed" on the screen.

For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.
After the bettor has decided on which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning players are agile enough to select the most profitable game each and every time.
As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Additionally, some styles of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
