Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be gambled on in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at your house on your computer, through a web connection. The regulations are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the greatest combination of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is very similar as a normal game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player puts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the gambler has selected which cards he or she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are needed they will be dealt. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that discerning players are agile enough to pick the most money-making game each and every instance.
Once the first round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the player a chance to increase their profits, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
