Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the world, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, through an Internet connection. The regulations are very simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the best combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the gambler has chosen which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are dealt if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money getting larger for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can change from game to game, so that skillful players are able to choose the most beneficial machine each and every instance.

After the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that might been won. Further, a few styles of the game allow the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which case a further game is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing characteristics to enhance playability.
