Electronic Poker is a popular game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at your house on your PC, through a net account. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the best combination of cards possible in order to acquire money. On this account it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced players are agile enough to select the most money-making game each and every instance.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that have been won. Further, several versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which instance another game is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
