Video Poker is a favored game that can be gambled on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, through a net account. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to get the greatest combination of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and presses the draw button. A five card hand will then be "handed out" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and players should now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. Normally, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful gamblers are able to select the most money-making ones each and every instance.

After the first round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that has been won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation another hand is played. There are also variations among specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
