Learning Enjoy Video Poker

Video Poker is a beloved game that is able to be enjoyed in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through a net account. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the highest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. In this respect it is much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the bettor inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the play button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has chosen which cards she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards will be handed out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning enthusiasts are able to choose the most money-making game each and every instance.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game give the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
